The "80-Hour Work Week" Lie
Is it a business or a second job?
The “Grind” gurus love to talk about “hustling” until your eyes bleed. They say if you aren’t working 80 hours a week, you aren’t serious.
Maybe that works when you’re 22 and living on ramen. But at 50, 60, and beyond? We have better things to do.
A business should be like a vintage car in the garage: something you tinker with because you love it, something that looks great when you take it out, and something that gets you where you want to go.
It should be a hobby that just happens to pay for the drinks.
In my new group, we focus on the “One-Person Business” model. We get the foundation built fast so you can get back to travel, family, and the things that actually make you laugh.
The encore is the best part of the show. Don’t spend it staring at a spreadsheet.
